A fast-growing service business based in South-East London and with a turnover in excess of £100m, is looking to hire an ambitious ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Financial Controller to join them on a permanent basis.  This role offers hybrid working 3 days per week in the office.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the whole Senior Leadership Team the Financial Controller will:

Duties of the Financial Controller Role:

• Supervise, mentor, and develop the Finance and Payroll Teams including Qualified Accountants.
• Oversee the monthly financial reporting cycle
• Review the management accounts and present them to the Senior Leadership Team
• Oversee transactional accounting including accounts payable and receivable team
• Work closely with the Payroll Team to ensure the accurate processing of payroll for staff and subcontractors
• Prepare the company Audit pack in preparation for the annual Audit
• Prepare and submit the VAT returns

Requirements of the Financial Controller Role:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years experience working in a similar capacity within the service sector
• Excellent staff management experience
• Strong management and financial accounting experience
• Dealt with complex payrolls
• A clear communicator with previous experience presenting to SLT.
