Unique opportunity to join a service group at a time of transformation working very closely with the Finance Team and reporting to the Head of Finance. You will be a talented analytics engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience and ready to take ownership of reporting, analytics and data management. This is initially a 6 month contract with a view to being extended. You will be responsible for:-
Responsibility of the Senior Power BI Engineer Role:-
- Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Power BI.
- Build and manage data models within Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop and maintain Lakehouse and Data Lake solutions to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Create and optimise Dataflows for data ingestion, transformation, and preparation.
- Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical reporting solutions.
- Work closely with Finance teams to understand financial reporting requirements and data structures.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and business insights.
Requirements of the Senior Power BI Engineer Role:
- Advanced Power BI development experience
- Fabric Lakehouse and Fabric Dataflows
- Experience of creating dashboards
- Experience of integrating data from multiple systems
- Experience of working in finance teams and financial reporting
- Understanding budgeting, forecasting, KPI's, cost and revenue analysis
- Strong analytical problem solver
- Strong communicator, team player
