Description
An Assistant Accountant is sought by this International Industry leading company based in London Bridge. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this person will assist in the monthly management accounts preparation, ownership of property accounting, and other finance support duties as required.
 
Responsibilities:
-Management of the property accounting, including ownership of property database.
-Ownership of audit process for some of the smaller group companies and assist in preparation of year end analysis for audit and dealing with audit queries.
-Assist with managing cash flow on a group basis, including producing weekly forecasts. Control the treasury function including monitoring cash balances.
-Quarterly cash reporting to the U.S. parent company. Assist in bookkeeping/posting journals, maintaining the general ledger and reconciling control accounts.
-Oversight of intercompany reconciliations and monthly confirmation of balances.
-Responsible for the preparation of specific balance sheet reconciliations for month end close.
-Support the FP&A team with budgets and forecasts, with preparation of packs.
-Providing support to business cost centres, and ownership of the cost pack preparation as part of the monthly close.
-Contribute to the continual development of accounting practices and ensure procedures comply with UK and US GAAP, and assist the Financial Accountant in all duties. Ad hoc work as required.
 
You will be ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified/Early level studier or AAT Qualified, about to embark on CIMA or ACCA, with strong MS Excel skills. Good accounts knowledge preparation with Knowledge of UK GAAP, Experience using Navision or a similar ERP Accounting System, and ideally have some experience in accounting for property /leases.
