A small, niche manufacturing business based in North Kent is now looking for a hands-on Bookkeeper to join a busy office. This role is office-based, 5 days a week, and would ideally suit someone from a small to medium-sized company background, looking to add value in this family-run group. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for:-

Responsibility of the Accounts Assistant Role:-

• Take full control of the billings, raising invoices weekly, checking with the sales teams to ensure the information is correct
• Assist with purchase ledger, raising payments, control account reconciliations and month end
• Handle any queries from customers with regards to the invoice
• Send copy invoices when requested
• Chase customers to make sure the invoice is paid within terms
• Reconcile aged debtors
• Month end reconciliations
• Cashflow forecasting
• Assisting with the implementation of the new ERP system

Requirements of the Accounts Assistant Role:-

• Proven track record in double entry bookkeeping
• First rate telephone manner
• Strong systems skills
• Systems implementation is a huge plus
