We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller for a company based in Wallington to oversee the financial operations and manage a small team. This senior leadership role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong background in group-level financial management, leadership, and commercial acumen. This is a 12 month maternity cover to start immediately and will be 5 days a week in the office. 

Duties will include:-

Responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller Role:-

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles

• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes

• Provide variance analysis and financial insights to senior leadership

• Drive improvements in financial planning tools and methodologies

• Ensure compliance tax, and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions

• Strengthen internal controls and implement financial policies and procedures.

• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

• Lead and mentor finance team

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance

• Collaborate closely with CFO and senior leadership

Requirements of the Group Financial Controller Role:-

• Ideally ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified 

• Hands on Managerial experience

• Highly organised and driven

• Proven track record of reviewing processes and implementing and driving change

• Hands on, happy to help with month end as well as the more detailed FP&A work

• Advanced Excel skills

• Exceptional communication skills to present to the Board
