Part Time AP and AR Supervisor

A National Not for Profit organisation based in South East London is looking for a Part-Time Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor to join them on a 21 hour per week basis.  This role offers hybrid working but the Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor must be able to attend the offices on a Tuesday and Wednesday weekly.  Reporting to the Financial Controller and supervising 1 Accounts Assistant, the Part Time Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor will:

• Maintain the organisations accounting books and records on Sunsystems
• Run Aged Creditors Reports – reconcile and review.
• Run Aged Debtors Reports and perform credit control.
• Manage the charity’s direct debit providers.
• Oversee Payment runs
• Reconcile the accruals, provisions, prepayments, and deferred income, including monitoring relevant schedules and releasing on a monthly basis.
• Prepare monthly accounting close in conjunction with the Assistant Accountant.
• Work with the Financial Controller in preparation of the annual financial statements, including liaison with the auditors.
• Work with the Financial Controller on system maintenance, management and training

This role would suit an experienced Accountant with excellent double-entry bookkeeping skills coupled with strong MS Excel knowledge.  It is expected that this person will have prior experience leading the Payables and Receivables in a business.  You will also need to be happy to work on a part-time basis, as this role is for 21 hours per week.
