Description
Our client is a fast growing international Property and Construction Company based in The City. The Financial Controller requires additional support and is keen to find an experienced Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant to provide support within the Accounting team.
 
You will have strong double entry skills, and have worked in a general ledger role handling transactional accounting covering VAT, assisting with Management Accounts, Payable/Receivable, Staff Expenses, Bank Reconciliations and general bookkeeping tasks.
 
You'll possess intermediate level MS Excel (Vlook ups and Pivot tables preferred) and good exposure to an accounting software system or two.
 
Duties include
                 
Assisting with posting and processing purchase invoices and accounts receivable invoices to ensure all business transactions are recorded             
Assisting with preparation of payment runs for staff expenses and 3rd Parties
 Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings  
Assisting with processing expense claims and business trip claims and assigning codes in line with internal rules    
Assisting with performing bank reconciliations for all banks         
Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings   
Participating at monthly, quarterly and year end closings to ensure timely UK statutory and IFRS reporting in accordance with corporate deadlines          
Ensuring that accounting practices comply with statutory requirements        
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal customers                                                                 
                                                 
Ideally you will have studied AAT, be driven and self motivated. Possess the usual team player attributes and perhaps be keen to further or continue your studies and experience with study support provided for CIMA or ACCA studies.
