Description

JMF Associates is pleased to present a unique opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller to join our client, a reputable manufacturing company based in North Kent. Reporting to the CFO and supervising a small Finance team, the Financial Controller will join the organisation at a time of significant change, which in turn, will presenting an exciting challenge.  This key leadership role involves overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving financial strategy and supporting operational efficiency, fostering strong relationships across departments.


  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with UKGAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll accounting
  • Manage internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors
  • Develop and maintain standard costing systems
  • Analyse variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
  • Analyse production costs and margins
  • Support capacity planning and capital expenditure budgeting

To be considered for this vacancy, the Financial Controller must have:


  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing finance processes and reporting.
  • Cost accounting experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage financial controls, compliance, and budgeting processes.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3-8 years PQE.
