Description

A unique opportunity to join a highly successful, established service group at a time of organic growth and external investment, Working closely with the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance team and improving the provision, speed and accuracy of the management information across the Group. Duties will include:-


Responsibility of the Financial Controller Role:-


  • Manage, train, develop and motivate the finance team
  • Improve processes and implement procedures to streamline some of the day to day tasks
  • Produce detailed, monthly management accounts and commentary to present to the Senior Management Team
  • Business Partner with Stakeholders across the group to review budgets on a regular basis and address any issues
  • Month end, balance sheet and bank reconciliations
  • Detailed cashflow reports
  • Assist with year end statutory accounts and liaise with the Auditors
  • VAT, corporate tax and compliance, liaising with HMRC
  • Work with the CFO on the implementation of a new ERP system and roll out the staff training

Requirements of the Financial Controller Role:-


  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management role
  • Proven track record managing and motivating a team
  • Advanced Excel skills to produce more detailed analysis
  • Systems implementation experience is an advantage
  • Used to using AI tools to streamline and become more efficient
