Senior Accountant Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant is expected to analyse complex financial records while overseeing an organisation's accounting operation. In addition, the Senior Account will:

• Analyse asset and capital accounts
• Prepare transaction and financial status reports
• Ensure company finances comply with local and national requirements
• Monitor and maintain the organisation’s auditing procedure
• Provide guidance and advice to Junior Accountants
• Assume an important role in the company’s financial management

Senior Accountant Skills

• At least 5 years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of tax filing and compliance issues
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of all applicable software

Senior Auditor Responsibilities

The Senior Auditor must have a keen analytical mind and a thorough understanding of auditing practices. Other responsibilities include:

• Analysing the work of Junior Auditors for accurate and compliance
• Formulating and overseeing the organisation’s auditing process
• Performing risk and control assessments
• Coordinating periodic audits
• Ensuring audits are completed on time
• Submitting reports to the auditing manager

Senior Auditor Skills

• At least 3 years of experience as an Auditor
• Professional certification is a plus
• Strong analytical skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and control practices
• Thorough knowledge of all relevant software programmes
• Proven leadership ability
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
