- Our client based within the Education Sector is currently looking for and experience HR Professional to provide specialist advice and guidance to managers and staff within the school. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively whilst taking ownership of challenges and delivering changes. You will provide independent support and advice to managers on individual casework and HR Issues such as absence management, grievance and disciplinary issues and capability.
You will be required to:
Provide professional HR support and advice to staff and managers to ensure they are informed and aware of current legislation, best practice, policies and procedures. There will be a requirement to provide verbal/written guidance, give presentations, produce reports on key HR metrics and facilitate HR specific training for staff in conjunction with the Learning and Development team and relevant managers.
Provide independent support and advice to managers on individual casework and HR issues, for example, issues arising during probation, absence management, grievance and disciplinary issues, capability, redundancy, redeployment and voluntary severance, recruitment and contract issues; ensuring that cases and HR issues are managed appropriately and in accordance with current legislation and best practice. Liaise and communicate with all parties involved including staff, managers, Heads of Department, Occupational Health and trade union representatives, where appropriate.
Responsible for undertaking the grading or regarding of posts in line with the schools job evaluation framework.
Keep up-to-date with professional developments, including changes in school policies, best practice, new legislation and case law.
The ideal candidate will come from the educational sector and have experience of dealing with school related, HR issues.
